The Celtic forward admits he’s hurting after Barcelona thrashing.

Scott Sinclair has reacted to Celtic’s demoralising Champions League defeat by Barcelona, speaking to The Scottish Sun.
The Scottish champions kicked off their Group C campaign in disappointing fashion after losing 7-0 at the home of the Spanish giants on Tuesday night.

The result itself will not surprise many Celtic fans, given Barcelona’s quality, but they may be hurting today as a result of the scoreline.
Sinclair admits that he and his Hoops team-mates have sore hearts due to the mauling, and says that he feels sorry for the travelling fans who had to witness it.
He told The Scottish Sun: “It hurts us as players. When we have a defeat like that it’s not good enough. It was a very difficult night. There’s not really much more to say about the game. It’s a big shame for all our travelling fans to come and see a performance like that.”

The former Aston Villa winger, who joined the Bhoys last month, was similarly downbeat on Twitter, lamenting such a “disappointing result”, but hopes Celtic will come back stronger.
The result comes a few days after Brendan Rodgers’s side thumped their Old Firm rivals Rangers 5-1, but the high of that win will have been wiped away by events in Catalunya.
