Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has told the club’s official website that he did not set a goal target before the start of the season but it is great to be on ten goals already.

Sinclair made the move to Celtic Park in the summer transfer window in a move from Championship side Aston Villa.

He has proven to be an instant hit in Scotland, with ten goals in all competitions to his name so far.

That tally makes him the club’s third-highest goalscorer so far this season and he says he is hoping to keep that up for the remainder of the campaign.

“It’s great that I’ve added to my tally and I am just trying to be as consistent as I can, game by game,” he told the club’s official website.

“The belief and the confidence is back in my game. It’s great for me that I am now in double figures and hopefully, I can continue to score goals.”

“To have 10 goals before Christmas is great. I never set any goal targets at the start of the season. I just wanted to enjoy it and get my football back on track.”

Celtic will certainly be praying that there is more to come from Sinclair in the remainder of the season.

At this moment in time they are not heavily reliant on his goals as they has Moussa Dembele continuing to impress up front.

The Hoops cannot rely on him throughout, though, and having Sinclair among the goals will be a major boost to their hopes of enjoying success at the end of the campaign.
