Scott Sinclair moved to Glasgow last summer, after leaving Aston Villa for Celtic.

Scott Sinclair has admitted to the Glasgow Evening Times that he has already had his heart broken since moving to Celtic, as he had to miss playing in the Scottish League Cup final.

Celtic won the League Cup earlier this season, after they beat Aberdeen 3-0 at Hampden Park.

However, Sinclair was not available for selection in the match due to injury.

And the forward, who arrived at Celtic from Aston Villa last summer, admits that it was very tough to watch on from the sidelines.

“It was heartbreaking to miss the cup final because I hadn’t been involved in a final for so long,” explained Sinclair.

“The last one was the play-off final for Swansea when we won promotion. That wasn’t even really silverware so it was hard not being involved.

“Hopefully I can look forward now and we can get to another one – but I was gutted. Does it make me more determined to go and win the other two? Definitely.”

Sinclair has made a huge impact since moving to Parkhead, and he has added a new dimension to their attacking line-up.

The 27-year-old has already netted 11 goals for the Bhoys, with his performances earning him a lot of praise.

Sinclair’s good form has been an important factor in Celtic’s brilliant start to the campaign.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently 14 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and they remain unbeaten in domestic action.
