Tottenham Hotspur youngster Reo Griffiths added to his growing reputation at the weekend by scoring another hat-trick.
Griffiths scored three goals as Spurs’ under-18s won 4-0 against Reading at the weekend.
Just a week earlier he had bagged a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over rivals Arsenal.
The 17-year-old is in fantastic form and these goals took his tally to 24 goals for the season in all competitions at youth level.
Under-18s coach Scott Parker was impressed, telling the club website: “We had some good performances – Reo scored a hat-trick and it was a big, strong performance from him.”
Griffiths must still prove himself at under-23 level and perhaps even a loan move, but understandably Tottenham fans are getting incredibly excited about the teenager’s potential.
There is hope he can step up to the first team, especially considering Spanish striker Fernando Llorente’s lacklustre performances in front of goal.
Several fans are keen for him to be thrown straight in, and expressed their excitement after his latest hat-trick.
