Scott McKenna comments on his future, after links with Aston Villa and Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are both said to be keen on the centre-back.

Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Scott McKenna has suggested to the Scotsman that a move to the Premier League would appeal to him.

The Sun have claimed that Villa and Wolves are both interested in the Scotland international centre-back, who has caught the eye for Aberdeen.

And when quizzed on his future ahead of the January transfer window, McKenna said: “I think that is most people’s ambition [playing in the Premier League].

“It’s been a good year but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. If I take my eye off the ball it would be quite easy to slip out of the Aberdeen team and then that would seem a million miles away.”

The Daily Record claim that McKenna is valued at £10 million by Aberdeen.

The powerful defender has quickly become regarded as one of the finest centre-backs in Scotland, which has attracted the attentions of a number of English sides.

Wolves and Villa are both looking to invest in January, as they look to improve their current squads.

Wolves would be able to offer McKenna Premier League football straight away if he was to join them, but at Villa he may have a bigger chance of starting straight upon arrival.
