Scott McDonald reckons Celtic’s Scott Brown has struggled this season so far.

Scott McDonald has told BBC Sport that he hasn’t been impressed by Celtic captain Scott Brown so far this season.
Celtic have endured a disappointing start to the 2018-19 campaign.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have already lost one of their two Scottish Premiership games – a 1-0 defeat at Hearts – and been eliminated from the Champions League before the group stages for the first time under the Northern Irishman.
Consequently, the Hoops need to beat Suduva over two legs to reach the Europa League proper, though Celtic only take a narrow advantage into next week’s second leg at Parkhead after being held to a 1-1 draw in Lithuania on Thursday night.
Brown, along with several team-mates, looked well below his best last night and former Celtic hitman McDonald says that the 33-year-old – a £4.4 million signing from Hibernian in 2007 [The Guardian] – is struggling early doors.
“I don’t think it’s been the best start to the season for Scott Brown. We haven’t seen the high energy levels from the Scott Brown we know,” he told BBC Sport.
The legendary midfielder scooped virtually every individual award on offer last season, indicating that he’s nowhere near past his best, but those suggestions will invariably crop up again in the very near future unless he sorts it out.
