Aston Villa finished 13th in the Championship last season.

Speaking to Aston Villa’s official website, Scott Hogan has claimed he is “very confident” that Steve Bruce can secure Premier League promotion next term.
Bruce, who replaced Roberto Di Matteo last October, is preparing for his first full season as Aston Villa manager following a 13th-placed finish last season.

The Villans’ hopes of bouncing straight back into the Premier League were arguably dashed before the veteran boss arrived, with Di Matteo winning only one of his first 11 games in charge of the West Midlands side.
Bruce has four Premier League promotions under his belt, and Hogan, a January signing from Brentford, says that he and his team-mates fully believe that he is capable of masterminding a fifth next time around.
“I’m very confident we’ll do well next season,” he told the club’s official website. “The manager is the man to do it, he’s done it before. We all want him.

“He’s a massive part of some of the boys coming here. We are confident with him in charge because we know what he’s going to do.
“He’s done it before. In his last job, he managed Hull and took them up. We know he can take us up and we all want to go up with him.”
Recruitment will be key for Aston Villa this summer. If Bruce can spend wisely then there is no reason why the Villans will not mount a much better challenge.
