Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan got off the mark for Stoke City on Saturday.

Stoke City picked up their first point of the season on Saturday afternoon, as they drew 2-2 with Derby County at home.
The Potters had endured a difficult start to the season under Nathan Jones, but showed some positive signs in the draw with the Rams.
Stoke did though fall behind to a Martyn Waghorn goal, only for Liam Lindsay to equalise – a goal which Scott Hogan is claiming having technically to the final touch.
Hogan then definitively opened his account for Stoke, smashing the ball into the roof of the net from 10 yards out, only for Waghorn to score a penalty to earn a draw.
27-year-old Hogan needed to get out and play football having struggled at Aston Villa, and made a loan move to Stoke on deadline day earlier this month.

Hogan has made a fine start to life with Stoke, and his new fans have been taking to Twitter to brand him ‘brilliant’ and ‘class’ for his display on Saturday, praising his work rate too.
Villa fans even sent messages to Hogan saying they want him back at Villa Park and felt he should have been given more chances under Dean Smith, feeling that he may be more of a goal threat than new signing Wesley.
