The Aston Villa forward should feature when they face Derby County.

Had Chris Samba not got injured against Millwall last time out, his Aston Villa teammate Scott Hogan would surely have come off the bench in a late bid to turn the game in their favour.
Unfortunately, Villa boss Steve Bruce was forced to bring on Tommy Elphick in the stalemate with the Lions, leaving Hogan to wait for his chance to impress.

That should come when Villa take on Derby County this weekend, with the promotion-chasing Villans knowing they cannot be as wasteful in front of goal against the Rams if they want to take anything from the game.
Hogan’s return is timely, with Jonathan Kodjia side-lined and the pressure on youngster Keinan Davis to deliver week in, week out.

The 25-year-old may not have had the best start to life at Villa Park, but he could be vital over the festive period, with his experience and his ability in front of goal potentially vital with the games coming thick and fast.
Bruce has got it right with the majority of his team selections this season and bringing Hogan in from the cold could go down as another masterstroke.
Villa need goals and, while he may not have scored many thus far, Hogan could be their best bet this weekend.
