Aston Villa picked up another impressive win in the Championship, beating Burton Albion 4-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.

Scott Hogan, Keinan Davis and Josh Onomah are among the Aston Villa players who have taken to Twitter in the wake of Steve Bruce’s side’s emphatic victory over Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

Villa have recovered from a slow start and had won their two previous Championship games heading into the clash at the Pirelli Stadium, scoring five along the way.

And they took little time to virtually wrap up the three points against the Brewers as they were 3-0 up shortly after the half-hour mark, with goals from Davis, Albert Adomah and Robert Snodgrass putting the team out of sight.

The rout that many may have expected did not exactly come as Onomah’s goal 20 minutes from time was the only other goal the Villans would score – but the damage had already been done in emphatic fashion by that stage.

Unsurprisingly, a number of Villa players, including goalscorers Davis and Onomah, took to social media in the wake of the victory to express their delight at the result.

And while he did not get onto the scoresheet during the game, Scott Hogan also had plenty to smile about as he set up Onomah’s goal shortly after finding out that he had been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
