Scott Gray failed to make a first-team appearance under Steven Gerrard at Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers.

Rangers fans are seen during the Scottish Cup Quarter final match between Rangers and Hamilton Academical at Ibrox Stadium on March 4, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rangers youngster Scott Gray has taken to Twitter to confirm he is on his way out of Ibrox this summer.

The 19-year-old left-back has played for the club’s reserve teams over the last few decade or so, representing Rangers from U17 to U20 level. But it seems that he will never make his first-team debut for the Glasgow giants.

Because, speaking on social media, Gray has opened up on his impending departure from Ibrox while hailing his fellow Gers youngsters for sealing the Reserve League title recently.

A versatile teenager born in Strathaven, Gray joined East Stirling on loan in January but he struggled to make an impression at the Falkirk Stadium, featuring just four times for the Lowland League outfit.

Gray’s announcement comes in the same week as Liam Burt confirmed that he too will be looking for a new club this summer.

The gifted attacking midfielder has been a Rangers player since 2014 but he has made just three first-team appearances for the club. Burt confirmed on Instagram that his time at the Scottish Premiership powerhouse has come to an end.
