Celtic’s Scott Brown celebrates scoring their fifth goal
Celtic captain, Scott Brown has told the club’s official website that they will have to play touch tight football to get a positive result against Manchester City.
The Scottish champions take on Pep Guardiola’s side in the Champions League on Tuesday.
It is likely to be a tough evening for them, with City having won all of their games under Guardiola so far this season and currently sitting top of the Premier League table.
The first game of Group C saw Brendan Rodgers’ side taught something of a footballing lesson as they were beaten 7-0 by Barcelona in the Nou Camp.

That game saw them sit off the La Liga champions and Brown has insisted this time around they will have to do things differently.
“We’re going to have to work hard as a team and defend a lot better than we did in the last Champions League game,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s about getting touch-tight. We sat off Barcelona and admired more than anything and they showed what good players can do to you if you sit off them. We need to get touch-tight, get the bodies in and win battles all over the park.”

The Celtic midfielder also says that they are determined to prove they belong at this level.
The loss to Barcelona was something of a chastening one for the Hoops and showed the gap between themselves and those top-level teams.
Indeed, the result hinted that the Champions League may be beyond them at this stage and Brown says he and his teammates are keen to prove that is not the case.
“This is where this club deserves to be and where we want to be,” he added.
“We want to show we’re good enough to be in the competition, that we’re not just going to be in last place and we can fight at home and away from home.”
