Brown has been on the books of the Glasgow giants since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
The 34-year-old has been superb for the Bhoys over the years and is the club captain, and despite being in his mid-30s, he is going strong.
The former Scotland international midfielder has said that he feels that he can play for Celtic for three more years.
Brown said on BT Sport when asked for how long he can continue playing: “Two, three seasons, I think. I feel as fit as I have done for the last three, four years probably throughout my career.
“I am looking after myself a lot better. That’s on and off the field, which is probably best for everybody to be perfectly honest.”
Stats
Brown has made 29 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic so far this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
The midfielder has also provided one assist in seven Europa League matches, has scored twice in three Scottish League Cup ties, and has found the net once in two Scottish Cup games this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Celtic are 13 points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, although Gers have a game in hand.
The Scottish Premiership is suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis.
