Scott Brown shares his future hopes regarding Moussa Dembele

Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with Celtic midfielder Scott Brown.

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has told Herald Scotland that he hopes that Moussa Dembele remains at the club for a long time.

Dembele joined Celtic in the summer transfer window after leaving English outfit Fulham at the end of the 2015-16 season.

The 20-year-old forward has been linked with moves to top clubs in the Premier League.

According to a recent report in The Daily Mail, Manchester United are interested in the youngster, while The Sun claimed of Arsenal’s interest in the forward last month.

Brown, who has been on the books of Celtic since 2007 and is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, has praised his teammate.

The 31-year-old Scottish midfielder has also stated his hope that Dembele remains at Celtic Park for a long time.

“Moussa is a lovely character,” Brown told Herald Scotland. “He is a nice honest boy. He comes in, does his training and doesn’t say too much.

“He isn’t big time or anything. He works hard and just chills out. You can imagine how chilled out he is just now with the way he’s been playing. I think he is enjoying his football.

“The manager brought him in and said he would be a top quality players and he is a top quality player. As long as he is enjoying his football, hopefully he stays here for a long time as well.”

Dembele has already proved to be a massive hit at Celtic, and the French forward is only going to get better.

It could prove to be tough for the Bhoys to keep hold of the France Under-21 international if he continues to bang in the goals in the Scottish Premiership and in the Champions League this season.
