Scott Brown believes that one of his Celtic teammates would be perfect for the role once he hangs up his boots.

Scott Brown has suggested that Kieran Tierney is the man who should succeed him as Celtic captain when he decides to hang up his boots at the end of his career, The Scottish Sun reports.
Brown has been a tremendous leader for Brendan Rodgers’ men this season, proving to all of those who doubted him following his struggles last season that they were completely wrong to write him off.
Nevertheless, with the midfielder turning 32 in two months time, Rodgers would be forgiven for considering potential long-term replacements for Brown when it comes to who will take the armband. And Brown has suggested that if it was down to him, the Hoops academy graduate would be given the role.
“I think Celtic fans would love KT to stay around when I retire and to still be playing,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
Celtic’s Kieran Tierney
“Kieran is a natural leader and a die-hard Celtic fan.
“He knows about winning games at Celtic Park, to go away, and what it means for his friends and family.
“He would be the one for me.”

Tierney has made a tremendous impact since emerging onto the scene at Parkhead in recent years, so much so that it is easy to forget that he is just a teenager still.
He has already established himself as the best, and most reliable left-back in the Scottish Premiership, and has gained some experience in the Champions League.
And given his age, he should be able to get considerably better still in years to come, so if Celtic can keep him, he would arguably be the perfect man to replace Brown, as the current skipper suggests.
