Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has been in superb form since Brendan Rodgers took charge at Parkhead.

McGregor has enjoyed a brilliant spell of progression since Brendan Rodgers took charge at Celtic, with the midfielder developing into a real goalscoring threat in recent times.
McGregor’s fine form at club level has been rewarded with a call-up to the Scotland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

And Brown has praised his Celtic teammate for putting in so much graft on the training ground.
“Every day I see his work-rate in the gym and what he does away from football,” Brown said. “He is an honest boy and he deserves to be the in squad and he will have shown his qualities in training this week.
“I’m sure the manager already knows what he can do on the pitch, but now he will also get to see what he can do on the training pitch and around the dressing room.”
Scotland’s next two qualifiers come against Slovakia and Slovenia, and they are likely to have to win them both, if they are to make it to Russia next summer.

McGregor is likely to have to make do with a place on the substitutes’ bench, but his form for Celtic is sure to have caught Gordon Strachan’s eye.
McGregor has scored five goals and claimed two assists in eight Scottish Premiership appearances for the Bhoys so far.
Scotland are currently in fourth place in their World Cup qualifying group, but they are only one point away from the coveted second spot – which would put them in the play offs for a place in Russia.
