The Scottish Premiership side are preparing for their final game of the campaign.

Scott Brown has told Celtic’s official website that he hopes that the majority of the current squad will still be at the club next season as the Hoops prepare for their final game of the campaign.

The Bhoys face Motherwell at Parkhead on Sunday with the Scottish Premiership title already wrapped up.

And while the game will certainly be the last of Ronny Deila’s tenure as the Norwegian has confirmed that he will step down once the curtain comes down on the campaign, Brown suggested that he wants most of the side to be around to help them secure a sixth league crown in a row next term.

“Trophy day is a great day. It’ll maybe be emotional for some people because it might be their last time but hopefully it’s not for a lot of them. It is a great day, though. The fans stay after the game and we get to give something back with a lap of honour for them,” he told the club’s official website.

While many of the squad may be nervous regarding whether they will have a more limited role under the new manager, a fresh face to impress may provide the side with a boost as they look to prove themselves.

And while the style of play and some of the results under Deila have come in for criticism this season, the fact that they have secured a fifth successive league title and have made an impression in both domestic cup competitions may give the new man confidence that there is potential in the squad, and only a few changes are required to build on that success.
