Scott Brown has told Celtic TV that Marvin Compper is adjusting well to life at Celtic.

The 32-year-old defender joined the Hoops in a £1 million deal (The Scotsman) from RB Leipzig last month.

The German, who has one cap for his country, has been training his new Celtic team-mates in Dubai all this week during their winter break.

And Brown claims that Compper is having no problem adapting and claims that he can even understand some of the thicker accents in the Bhoys’ squad – including his.

“He has come in and joined with the lads and he is gelling well with the lads as well.”

The addition of Compper, coupled with the emergence of Kristoffer Ajer, will keep the likes of Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic on their toes.

Boyata has been particularly poor over the past month or so and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the Belgian drop out of Brendan Rodgers’s best XI after the break.
