Celtic captain Scott Brown has hailed Moussa Dembele’s performance in the win over Rangers as exceptional, speaking to Sky Sports.

It was an impressive performance to say the least, and showed just why Brendan Rodgers was keen to bring him to the club this summer.
Brown was among those who were impressed, saying that his teammate was exceptional from start to finish.
“He was exceptional from start to finish,” he told Sky Sports.
“He’s been looking sharp in training the last few days, it was sad that Leigh [Griffiths] was injured but the big man stepped up and scored three and got an assist. It wasn’t a bad day’s work was it?”

Dembele and Celtic will now be hoping he can build on this performance and be a regular goalscorer for them this season.
He had enjoyed a slow start to life in Scotland but with goals in the Champions League and now this hat-trick, he has shown that he can play a huge role for them moving forward.
Indeed, it will be interesting to see how this display affects Rodgers’ thinking moving forward, with it showing the player is more than capable of replacing Leigh Griffiths in the team.
