It seems like Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers cracked the whip with his players in Dubai these past few weeks.

Scott Brown has told The Scottish Sun that Celtic’s winter break in Dubai was anything but a holiday and claims that manager Brendan Rodgers cracked the whip.
The Hoops returned from a warm-weather training camp in the Middle-East last week after a hectic past couple of months.
Celtic jetted off to Dubai on the back of a tired 0-0 draw with Rangers at Parkhead, having also lost their 69-game unbeaten run to Hearts following a shock 4-0 defeat earlier in December.

Rodgers’s side have a big next five months of the season. Not only must they fend off a resurgent Hearts and Rangers in the Premiership, but Celtic also have a last-32 Europa League tie with Zenit St Petersburg on the horizon, as well as juggling their Scottish Cup defence to ensure they can win back-to-back trebles.
And Brown, a £4.4 million signing from Hibernian in 2007, claims that the Northern Irish man “battered” his team physically in Dubai.

“I’ve had a winter break in Dubai and people might think of it as purely a break,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“But we got battered every day in training. It was hard but it’s enjoyable, and there was rest time as well.”
Rodgers’s side, with an eight-point lead over the second-placed Dons, resume their Premiership campaign tonight with a trip to Partick Thistle.
