Scott Brown suggests Celtic shouldn’t expect too much too soon from new boy Charly Musonda.

Scott Brown has told The Glasgow Evening Times that new Celtic team-mate Charly Musonda will need time before he can start ripping up the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic signed the 21-year-old attacker on an 18-month loan deal from Chelsea last week.
The Belgium Under-21 ace made his debut at Kilmarnock on Saturday but it ended in a 1-0 defeat for Brendan Rodgers’s side.

Musonda, like so many of his new Celtic colleagues, looked a little off the pace and having come into a new country, Brown, a £4.4 million signing in 2007 (The Guardian), suggests that patience is key when it comes to the youngster.
He told The Glasgow Evening Time: “Charly needs a bit of time but I am sure that we will see what he has got once he gets match sharp.
“There are a lot of games coming up for us over the next few weeks so hopefully we can start to find our pace again.
“The club have worked hard to bring in some new faces in the window and I am sure we will see their impact between now and the end of the season.”

Brown might well be right.
Patrick Roberts also joined Celtic on an initial 18-month loan deal from Manchester City two years ago, and it took the talented winger four games before he scored or set up a goal for the Bhoys.
But from there, Roberts swiftly established himself as a huge player for the Parkhead side, and fans of the Glasgow club will be hoping that Musonda can have a similar impact.
