The Celtic skipper remains an extremely important player for the football club.
Celtic ace Scott Bain talked up the influence that Scott Brown has on the team, when speaking to reporters, suggesting that the club would be very different without the experienced midfielder, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The 33-year-old was heavily linked with an exit from the Hoops in January, but he eventually signed a new contract that will keep him at Parkhead until the summer of 2021.
Celtic have enjoyed a successful campaign once again this season, and they currently sit comfortably at the top fo the Scottish Premiership table, eight points clear of second placed Rangers.
The Glasgow giants have also already won a domestic cup, and are through to the semi-final of the FA Cup.
Celtic were rocked last week, however, when Brendan Rodgers left Parkhead to take over at Leicester City, so Brown’s influence will be needed more than ever over the next few weeks.
Bain spoke to reporters, and suggested that Celtic would be a very different football club without the experienced Scot, as quoted by the Daily Record:
“The club would be a different place without Broony. He does so much for the boys and keeps the boys together. He drives us through in training and demands the highest standards, so he is massive for the club regardless what has been going this week outside the changing room.”
Next up for Celtic is a home game against Aberdeen on Saturday, and Brown and co will be hoping to further cement their position at the top of the table.
