Scott Bain joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Dundee in the January transfer window.

Bain joined Celtic on loan from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season, and the goalkeeper has said that he wants to remain at Celtic Park for the 2018-19 campaign.

Bain told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I would love to be here. I’ve loved every minute of being at this club.”
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has also suggested he would like Bain to remain part of the team beyond the summer of 2018.
Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times about Bain: “I’ve spoken to Scott at length about the opportunity he could have here and, again, he’s a good example of a player other teams might look at and think he’s too small. But for me, in terms of how we work, he’s absolutely perfect.”

All set for new deal?
With Bain interested in staying at Celtic and manager Rodgers seemingly wanting him to remain at Celtic Park, there seems to be only one inevitable conclusion – that an agreement between the goalkeeper and the club will be struck at some point.
After all, it seems that both sides are happy with each other, and although other clubs are claimed to be interested in Bain – The Scottish Sun has reported of Bristol City and Birmingham City’s interest in the former Aberdeen prospect – Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and playing in the Champions League and the Europa League would be tempting for the 26-year-old to resist.
