Scott Bain joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Dundee on January transfer deadline day.

Bain joined Celtic on loan from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee on January transfer deadline day.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper will remain at Celtic Park for the rest of the season.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers signed the former Aberdeen prospect as a replacement for Craig Gordon, who is injured at the moment.
Bain has stated that he will not return to Dundee at the end of the season and wants to make his loan deal at Celtic permanent.

“I don’t think I’ll be back at Dundee,” Bain told The Daily Record. “My focus is here, on loan for the rest of the season.
“I’ll do whatever I can to make this a permanent move when I’m a free agent in the summer.
“Looking back it’s probably the best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole football career, what went on at Dundee, because I’ve ended up here.”

Permanent move possible?
Bain is a very good goalkeeper, and if the Scotsman is able to establish himself in the Celtic first team in the coming weeks, then he could well earn a permanent deal with the Glasgow giants in the summer of 2018.
What is important for the 26-year-old is to train well and make the most of the chances he gets.
