The Hoops goalkeeper is thriving at Parkhead after leaving Dundee, where he fell out of favour.

Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has been an undisputed success at Parkhead but what makes it especially sweet for the Hoops faithful is how he joined for free after falling out of favour at his former club.
In January 2018, the 27-year-old joined Celtic on loan from Dundee – a club at which he had fallen out of favour – as cover for Dorus de Vries and Craig Gordon, and impressed in his debut in a 3-2 win over Rangers.
With his contract with Dundee expiring at the end of the 2017-18 season, Bain signed a four-year contract with Celtic in May 2018, and he now finds himself as first choice at the treble-chasing club and within the Scotland setup.
On Thursday, the relegation-battling Dark Blues made an announcement regarding personnel which has angered some of their fans, namely eight youth players being told their contracts will not be renewed.
Matty Henvey, Tom Bradbury, Kyle Gourlay, Sam Jackson, Dan Jefferies, Jack Lambert, Brian Rice and Cedwyn Scott will depart Dens Park when their current deals come to an end next month.
Here is the reaction about the news from some Dundee fans on Twitter and needless to say it’s not the most positive:
Given the strong reaction by quite a few Dee fans regarding the departure of some of these players, Celtic’s scouts should take a look at these eight youngsters and snap up those who seem good enough to represent the Hoops, and like with Bain, for free.
