Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in bringing Andre Gray to Ibrox in the summer.

The Evening Times have reported this week that Rangers are keen to sign £18 million striker Andre Gray on loan during the summer as Steven Gerrard looks to add to his attacking options ahead of next season.
It would be a sensational move with Gray playing fairly regularly for Watford this term. His record is impressive given that he has started 13 times in the top flight, with seven goals for the Hornets this season.
But if Rangers fans needed any more convincing regarding Gray’s ability, perhaps they only need to look at comments made by Scott Arfield in 2015 when the pair were teammates at Burnley. The Canada international – who joined Rangers last summer – was full of the praise for the forward shortly after his move to Turf Moor.
“He’s been brilliant. Obviously his pace and his power scares defenders massively. I don’t think any defender wants to play against him,” he said, as reported by the Lancashire Telegraph.

“Andre has pace and power that scares defenders and backs them off and allows us in the midfield to get up the pitch and when the centre backs and full backs are scared of the channel ball he’s such a threat for us to have in the team. The longer we can keep him in the team and scoring goals the better for us.”
Arfield’s comments came at a time when Gray was still making his way through the leagues. The forward had just begun only his second campaign in the Championship having been signed by Brentford from Luton while the latter were in the Conference.

He scored 41 goals across those two campaigns in the second tier, while he has since found the back of the net 21 times during his three seasons in the Premier League.
And given how impressive Arfield has been since playing in the number 10 role alongside Jermain Defoe, the prospect of reuniting the pair for Rangers next year could be seriously exciting, and may have devastating consequences for their Scottish Premiership title rivals.
