The Burnley winger has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their resources in this month’s transfer window, with Burnley winger Scott Arfield one of the players they have under consideration.
As reported by Sky Sports, Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United are all contemplating making an approach for Arfield, who has less than six months left on his contract at Burnley.

While Palace certainly need to increase the depth of their squad, it is questionable whether bringing in Arfield would be a wise move.
The Canada international isn’t a prolific player, as demonstrated by the fact that he has only scored twice in the Premier League this season, while he has provided just one assist.

Arfield is capable of delivering dangerous crosses, but his overall performances often lack conviction and, especially given their current predicament, Palace require a consistent performer who is capable of posing a regular threat in front of goal.
The evidence indicates that Arfield isn’t the right option for them to pursue, and Palace should turn their attention elsewhere as they look to ensure that they can keep their place in the Premier League.
