The Rangers midfielder is a big fan of the defensive duo.

It was Goldson’s late thumping header that ensured the 2-1 victory and all three Scottish Premiership points, with Nikola Katic also playing a vital role in Arfield’s opener.
The midfielder was on hand to poach the Gers’ first league goal of the season after Killie goalkeeper Laurentiu Branescu parried Katic’s header.
After the game, Arfield paid tribute to their aerial presence at both ends of the pitch.
As quoted by The Daily Record, he said: “They have that desire to get their heads on it and it helps us at times. When the ball gets lumped up nobody really sees it but when you’re under pressure and they’re lumping it on us then we really appreciate what they do.
“And when it’s at the opposition goal and he puts it in it’s very enjoyable. It was Niko who had the header saved and it dropped for my goal and he’s got that heart and desire so fair play to them both.”
After a solid showing in Ayrshire, will Steven Gerrard now give the partnership a renewed chance to come good?
Last season the presence of Joe Worrall disrupted what was a flourishing defensive combination in early matches under the Gers boss. It would be interesting to see if they can become the side’s recognised defensive force again.

The main barrier would appear to be the presence of Filip Helander. The Swedish international is an experienced pro and joined Rangers for a significant transfer sum this summer. He’s unlikely to be a man sitting on the bench for the majority of the season.
With George Edmundson also rotated into the side in recent weeks, Gerrard has a positive selection headache on his hands.
What it means for Goldson and Katic is really down to them.
If they can keep things solid at the back and continue to offer an attacking contribution from set-pieces, it might be hard for their manager to drop either one.
