Scott Allan joined Rotherham United on a season-long loan deal from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
Rotherham United caretaker-manager Paul Warne has suggested to The Star that Scott Allan could return to Celtic in the January transfer window.
Allan joined Rotherham on a season-long loan deal from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has struggled to play well in the Championship in England and has made only seven appearances in the league so far this season, creating six chances in the process.
Rotherham caretaker-manager Warne has suggested that Allan would leave the club this month.

“The situation is that his agent is trying to get him a club,” Warne told The Star about Allan. “I don’t think Celtic are pulling him back to be part of their plans, so it’s more about his agent and himself trying to get somewhere else to play.”

From Warne’s comments, it seems that Rotherham are not too interested in hanging onto Allan and are open to letting him leave in the January transfer window.
With Celtic apparently not inclined to recall him to their first-team squad for the remainder of the season, it would be best for the midfielder if he finds another club.
The former Dundee United and Hibernian midfielder is a good player and he would be a good signing for a team in the Scottish Championship.
Rotherham are at the foot of the Championship table at the moment with just 16 points from 26 matches.
