Nesbitt is currently out on loan at the Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton, but also still plays for Celtic’s under-23s at times.

This dynamic has certainly impressed Gemmil, who loves the Celtic youngster’s desire to play the game.

Speaking to Glasgow Live this week he had this to say about Nesbitt:

“The fact Aidan is getting to play in the Championship while still eligible for Celtic’s development side is going to be beneficial to him.

“He obviously didn’t get a huge amount of minutes at the weekend (as Morton lost to Aberdeen at Hampden) so it’s good management and shows a great attitude and willingness from Aidan and he’s a boy who just wants to play football.”

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder had a similar spell out on loan at Partick Thistle last season and the Bhoys are certainly hopeful the they have something of a special talent on their hands with this playmaking midfielder.

So far last season’s Celtic academy player of the year has only ever played one game for the first-team at Parkhead – coming on late in a League up game v Raith Rovers last September.

A good spell at Morton will hopefully help him add to that tally in the future.
