Oliver Burke has hailed Rangers ace Oliver Burke, backing the Ibrox star for a Premier League future.

RB Leipzig star Oliver Burke has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Rangers ace Barrie McKay is a ‘good quality player’, and backed him to play in the Premier League one day.

Rangers travelled over to Germany for a friendly with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on Sunday, but were on the receiving end of a 4-0 hammering at the Red Bull Arena.

One of the goalscorers for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side was winger Oliver Burke, who is currently viewed as the golden boy of Scottish football following a blockbuster summer move to RB Leipzig.

The winger, 19, became the most expensive Scottish player in history in August, as his move to Leipzig saw Nottingham Forest earn a whopping £13million (BBC Sport) for his services.

Whilst the plaudits are pouring in for Burke, he has taken time to praise another talented young Scottish player, hailing Rangers ace Barrie McKay.

22-year-old wide man McKay was key to Rangers’ promotion campaign last season as he notched six league goals in 34 games, and whilst he had a slow start to this term, his recent performances have been superb.

Already a Scotland international, McKay looks to have a big future ahead of him, and Burke has told the Daily Mail that he thinks the Rangers ace is a ‘good quality player’.

Burke added that he doesn’t see why McKay won’t end up joining a Premier League team in the future, and thinks that he is capable of anything he wants to do as long as he continues to work hard.

“Of course, I don’t see why not,” said Burke. “If he continues playing his game for Rangers, anything is possible. He’s capable of anything he wants to do. He’s a good quality player and I believe if he keeps working hard and keeps showing what he’s capable of then anything can happen in football. He’s a great player and he’s shown that,” he added.
