Liam Cooper started Leeds United’s win over Blackburn Rovers over the weekend.

Some Scotland fans on Twitter don’t seem to know who Leeds United’s Liam Cooper is after he decided to withdraw from national duty.
Centre-back Cooper was part of Scotland’s last squad, and he was called up by Steve Clarke once again for their up and coming fixtures, but the Leeds man opted out because of an injury, as reported by BBC Sport.
Over the weekend, Marcelo Bielsa’s side recorded a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers, with Cooper starting that game before being subbed in the second half with a knock.
Now it seems as though he is not taking any risks, by not going on international duty, with Leeds facing a very busy and important festive period after the international break.
Scotland fans on Twitter didn’t seem too bothered that Cooper decided to withdraw, but they feel it is only the start of more players deciding to pull their name out of the hat.

Clarke’s side can no longer qualify for Euro 2020 automatically, so these up and coming games will be preparation for the play-offs in which they will take part in next year.
Cooper only recently earned a call-up by his country, as he will be hoping to be a Premier League player next summer and potentially heading for the Euro’s with Scotland.
