The Celtic player came off the bench for his country at the weekend.

Scotland recorded an emphatic 5-1 victory against Malta in their opening World Cup 2018 qualifier on Sunday evening, with Robert Snodgrass getting a hat-trick and Chris Martin and Steven Fletcher also finding the net.
Given his start to the new season, Celtic player James Forrest would have been forgiven for feeling disappointed not to have started the match, but he did come on as a second-half substitute with Scotland leading 3-1.

Forrest has already scored three goals and provided three assists in 10 appearances for Celtic this season, with new Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers clearly rating the 25-year-old.
Some Celtic fans feel he should be overlooked in favour of Patrick Roberts, but as long as he is producing on the pitch Rodgers will find it hard to drop him.
