Some Scotland fans are not impressed by Steve Clarke’s decision to call-up the Sheffield Wednesday right-back, Liam Palmer.
Clarke named his first squad as Scotland manager on Tuesday, having quit Kilmarnock at the end of the season.
And Palmer has kept his place – despite what was a disappointing debut in Kazakhstan two months ago.
The 27-year-old was an almost ever-present for Sheffield Wednesday in the second half of last season, and impressed at both right- and left-back.
But for those who perhaps have not seen as much of Palmer in action, the decision to include him is a baffling one.

Clarke has named four of his former Kilmarnock players in the squad to face Cyprus and Belgium next month – three of whom are uncapped.
But the Nottinghamshire native, Palmer, is Sheffield Wednesday’s only representative, with Scotland regulars Barry Bannan and Steven Fletcher each omitted.
Bannan and Fletcher have 60 caps between them.
