Scotland played out a 1-1 draw on Sunday night as they couldn’t quite claim all three points against Israel.

The two countries have played against each other so many times in recent years, but neither of them could come out on top last night.

Israel took the lead in the first half, with midfielder Dor Peretz slamming a long-range strike into the roof of the Scotland net.

Scotland hit back in the second half though, with Ryan Fraser firing in the leveller – but neither side could find a winner late on.

The game saw Che Adams make his first start for Scotland, having recently switched his international allegiance from England to Scotland.

The Southampton striker now has a chance to play at the European Championships, and he turned in a strong performance in attack.

Adams has been hailed on Twitter for his performance, with Scotland fans suggesting that he is ‘streets ahead’ and ‘a cut above’ any other Scottish striker.

Others called him ‘quality’ and the best player on the park, backing him to make a huge impact for Scotland moving forward.
