What a wonderful year it has been for Liam Kelly.

12 months ago, the highly-rated goalkeeper was promoted to the Scottish Premiership with Livingston after an outstanding loan spell at the Tony Macaroni Arena. And, after joining Livi permanently from parent club Rangers, Kelly established himself as one of the top flight’s best goalkeepers.

The 23-year-old kept 17 clean sheets in all competitions across 2018/19 with his exceptional form attracting the interest of Premiership champions and Rangers’ bitter rivals Celtic, as reported by the Scottish Sun.

A clause in his contract means Kelly is available for a bargain £50,000.

And, just to put the icing on this already tasty cake, Kelly has now been handed a call-up for the senior Scotland squad for the first time in his young career.

The Glasgow-born shot-stopper is one of five uncapped players included in Steve Clarke’s first Scotland selection and he will be hoping to earn a maiden cap for June’s fixtures against Cyprus and Belgium.

Sealing a move to Celtic, and establishing himself as the club’s number one, could be the next target on Kelly’s tick list.
