Jose Enrique lauded Liverpool defender Andy Robertson on his Instagram story for ‘always being consistent’ after Scotland’s 2-0 win over Spain in their Euro 2024 qualifier at Hampden on Tuesday night.

It was a moment Andy Robertson and those associated with Scotland will remember for a long time because this was one of their best wins of the modern era and a deserved three points.

Whilst Jose Enrique had his Spain hat on when watching the all-action and thunderous encounter unfold in Glasgow, he made it clear that if Liverpool had ’10’ Andy Robertson’s, then they would be ‘fighting’ for the Premier League title this season.

Not many Liverpool players can cover themselves in glory this term, but their flying left-back could probably be one that can hold his head up high for his own performances.

Over the international break, Steve Clarke’s side outclassed Cyprus and now beating Spain to make it a 100% winning start on their journey to Euro 2024, with two clean sheets to boot.

Writing on his Instagram story, Enrique was full of praise for Robertson: “Always consistent, Robertson. 10 more like him and we (would) be fighting (to) win the Premier League.”

ROBERTSON PUTS IN A BRILLIANT DISPLAY

The 29-year-old was his typical self last night and, in the first half, he was at the heart of the action, which included the Liverpool man hitting out at Tottenham’s Pedro Porro after the game.

The Spurs wing-back, who was hooked at half-time, was accused of going down easily by Robertson, but in the end, he let his football do the talking after he assisted Scott McTominay for the opener.

The Manchester United man netted a brace for his country, after also scoring against Cyprus last time out, as he channelled his inner Frank Lampard over this international break.
