Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Ian Wright has been waxing-lyrical about Mohamed Salah amid his fine run of form.
The Liverpool attacker has been red hot as of late. He’s the top scorer in the Premier League and there’s even been talk of him being the best player in the world right now.
Wright buys into that school of thought, labelling Salah the best on the planet, claiming that he’s back to the form he showed at the beginning of his time at Liverpool.

Wright was speaking about Salah.
“For me, you can’t look further than Mo Salah. He’s the best player in the world at the moment for me. He’s so good he’s back to that form from when he first got here where everything he’s touches is turning to gold. That second goal where he put it to the near post of David De Gea, for me I’m usually going across goal with that, but he’s in such scintillating form,” Wright said.
Records could tumble
Wright is spot on, Salah is back to his best form, and if he keeps this up he could break all sorts of records.
Salah already holds the record for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League season, netting 32 in 2017/18, and after netting 10 in 10 so far this term, he’s on track to break his own record.
Of course, it’s tough to keep up this level of form across an entire season, but with the way Salah is playing, it’s hard to write him off.
