Aston Villa are on the verge of signing Tom Heaton.

Aston Villa are close to completing a deal for Tom Heaton, with BBC Sport reporting a deal has been agreed.
Heaton, 33, has both experience and quality, and is an instant upgrade for Villa at a key position.
Heaton is a player who once received glowing praise from Peter Schmeichel.
Schmeichel is widely regarded as the Premier League’s best ever goalkeeper, and even had a spell at Villa Park at the end of his career.
He praised Heaton in 2016, after a terrific save for Burnley against Manchester United, denying Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
Schmeichel used Twitter to state his belief that Heaton’s was one of the best saves he has ever seen.
Heaton’s form around this time earned him a call up into the England side.
It demonstrated what he is capable of, and Villa will want to see more of that this season.
He is a solid addition and Villa fans should be pleased with the deal. Schmeichel knows what he’s talking about.
