Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left astounded by the build-up play to their second goal on Thursday evening.
Stunning move
Antonio Conte took charge of Spurs for the first time in midweek, as they picked up a 3-2 win over Vitesse.
Tottenham showed vulnerability at the back in the contest, but there was also plenty to be encouraged by.
And their move in the 21st minute of the match was particularly pleasing to see.
Conte lined his side up in a 3-4-3 shape and Tottenham showed more attacking invention and drive than they ever had under Nuno.
Conte ball in full flow
Considering Conte had only had two training sessions to work with his players ahead of the match it was remarkable how effective the formation looked in an attacking sense.
Spurs put together 18 passes in the move for their second goal, with every outfield player touching the ball, before Moura was sent through by Harry Kane.
The Brazilian duly finished to double Spurs’ advantage on the night, but it was the build-up play which really had Tottenham fans purring.
The move just highlighted the attacking quality that Spurs do possess.
There is simply no way that a team with their forward players should only have nine goals in 10 Premier League matches so far.

Tottenham struggled to even take shots on goal let alone score under Nuno.
But in Conte’s new structure this may not be an issue at all.
As Moura bore down on goal he had both Emerson and Heung-Min Son bursting forward with him and could have squared it to either of them for a tap in.
That new attacking thrust should serve Spurs well and if they can iron out their defensive deficiencies then the second half of the season could be very exciting indeed.
And Tottenham fans are certainly intrigued after seeing a brief glimpse into what the future could look like, as their players adapt to Conte’s methods.
