William Saliba has not taken long to make a positive impression at Arsenal.
Saliba gave Arsenal fans their first glimpse of his talents yesterday, as he started in their pre-season friendly against MK Dons.
And the initial signs that Saliba will be a hit at the Emirates Stadium are very encouraging.
The 19-year-old put in a commanding display, as Arsenal cruised to a 4-1 victory.
And Arsenal fans were very complimentary of Saliba’s display on social media website Twitter.
Saliba will, of course, face tougher tests in the league than playing MK Dons.
However, his ability in possession was clear for all to see, and if he keeps performing to such a high level over pre-season excitement will only rise further about seeing him in action.
Saliba is expected to start in Arsenal first Premier League game of the season, which comes against Fulham on September 12th.
By that time he could have a new defensive partner, with Arsenal hoping to sign Gabriel soon.
