Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Graham Potter admitted his Brighton side were intimidated at Selhurst Park last night.
What’s the story?
Well, the Seagulls somehow stole a point in the dying stages last night, as Neal Maupay lobbed Vicente Guaita in stoppage time.
It came after Wilfried Zaha’s penalty opened the scoring, and Jordan Ayew missed a great chance to kill the game.
After full-time, with emotions running high, James McArthur and Robert Sanchez were involved in an altercation at the Holmesdale Road end.
Then, as the Brighton players made their way past that stand and down the tunnel, they were met by some angry Crystal Palace fans.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Potter said: “That’s how it is here. With the goal going in at that time there is emotion and passion, which you’d expect. There wasn’t a massive amount of security there. It’s a little bit intimidating. Everyone is okay.”
Now, you can understand why the Crystal Palace fans loved to hear this from the £36,500-a-week man.
Selhurst Park was raucous in Crystal Palace vs Brighton

If you give the Selhurst Park faithful something to get behind, they will make enough noise to shake the foundations of any stadium.
Last night, the Crystal Palace fans created such a fantastic atmosphere, fuelled by the positive football on show under Patrick Vieira.
Supporters are often referred to as the 12th man, and judging by Potter’s comments, that’s exactly what the Eagles fans were last night.

It can be a fortress at times, none more so than yesterday.
If that sort of noise happens at Selhurst Park every game this season, the south Londoners will win more points than they lose.
For now, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have said about Potter’s comments…
