Adam Lallana backed reported Arsenal target, Tariq Lamptey, to play at the ‘highest level’ and go onto have a ‘top, top career’, as he told talkSPORT.
The Brighton midfielder shares a dressing room with the 20-year-old and Lallana feels his qualities will ‘scare the living daylights out of anyone’.
CBS Sport have previously claimed that Arsenal have earmarked Lamptey as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin.
Right-back is an area of concern for Arsenal, and it has been for some while, as Lallana waxed-lyrical about his teammate, who is attracting interest from the bigger boys.
“It’s early days for the lad, at the moment,” said Lallana. “Unfortunately, he is out injured. But he possesses outstanding qualities.
“His pace. He will scare the living daylights out of anyone. But the thing that struck me the most about him is how humble he is.
“His attitude and his application to training, day in and day out, considering he is so young is so refreshing to see.
“Based on that alone you can back him to have a top, top career and play at the highest level, internationally and domestically, that’s for sure.”

Lamptey is the type of player Arsenal should be pushing for and someone who wouldn’t cost serious dollar.
After leaving Chelsea’s academy, the light-footed speedster has thrived in Brighton colours and fans from across the country are beginning to take notice.
Whether a team does it this summer or in a couple of years time, Lamptey is someone worth pushing for, it’s just a case of who is willing to take the risk?
