Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Raul Jimenez from Benfica last summer and the striker has been revealing some tips on how he has settled in England.

Mexican international, Raul Jimenez, looks to have settled into life quickly at Molineux. Although his deal is just a season-long loan, the number 9 appears to be enjoying his football under Nuno Espirito Santo.
As reported in the Birmingham Mail, Jimenez also highlighted the laid-back lifestyle he is enjoying off the pitch, away from the spotlight.
Jimenez now gets to enjoy a semblance of ‘normal’ life in Wolverhampton compared to the celebrity status in his homeland.
He said: “Here it is easier because in Mexico I’d want to go out to the cinema or something like that, but I can’t because all the people see me and want an autograph or a photo, and it is difficult.
“Here in Wolverhampton there are some people who know me, but it is more relaxed and I like that, to be relaxed here in the street. Being able to just go walking is nice.”

Jimenez has already scored three goals and provided three assists, giving him direct involvement in six of Wolves’ 11 league goals so far. With a part in over 50% of Wolves’ goals, Jimenez is one of the first names on Nuno’s team sheet and has averaged 81 minutes per game in the Premier League.
When asked for his thoughts on Wolves’ current boss, Jimenez was full of praise for Nuno: “I think he is a great coach. We have a good relationship in the training camp and in the stadium when we have the games.
“All times are happy. We always talk about what we can do better and what we are doing well in training. When we are training he tries to make us understand all the things he wants us to do on the pitch and sometimes he talks with me… I have to be in the middle taking care of the defensive process and then, like a striker, I have to score goals.
“Then he is always there in the matches, he is always supporting us during the game. He is always there giving us instructions and giving us his support to make it better. He gives us simple messages that we have to do a lot of times.”

Jimenez has played his part in a Wolves team that looks capable of achieving something special this season.
Considered by many to be one of the best ever promoted sides to play in the Premier League, Nuno’s men have been brave in their approach to games. The Molineux side has gone toe-to-toe with the likes of Manchester City, picking up a very impressive 1-1 draw against the title-favourites.
With a central midfield partnership of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho, Nuno clearly places his trust in players with a high level of technical ability, vision and creativity.
That is exactly what Jimenez would want from the men behind him. If Jimenez and co can fire Wolves to a top-half finish they will have exceeded all fans’ expectations for their first season back in the Premier League. Who knows what deal would then await Jimenez in the near future? A permanent move to Molineux, perhaps?
