Celtic’s Craig Gordon believes his side can achieve something special at Celtic Park this Thursday.

Celtic are facing an uphill challenge in their Europa League fixture this Thursday evening.
The Bhoys are languishing in third place in their group, behind this week’s opponents RB Leipzig. Brendan Rodgers’ side desperately need a win to rescue their European hopes.
Craig Gordon has been Rodgers’ choice between the sticks for Celtic’s European adventures this season and the 35-year-old goalkeeper will be hoping to keep their continental dream alive for a few more weeks at least.
“We want to do well in Europe. We always set out to try to win games, regardless of the competition,” Gordon told the Daily Record.
“We believe we are still in the group and there were things we saw from them, and in our performance, that gives us hope in Glasgow.
“The home games were always going to be vital for us. We’ve got Leipzig and Salzburg to come to Scotland, while we always felt we’d need to pick up something away from home at some point.”

Gordon felt that it was a case of missed opportunities when Celtic lost 2-0 to RB Leipzig in Germany last month. He feels that if his team can be more clinical at the other end then Celtic might just have a chance of getting the win they need.
“There was some encouragement in Germany. We created chances. We didn’t manage to take them and that’s what you need to do at this level. That could be the difference at Celtic Park,” Gordon said.
Celtic travel to play bottom-placed Rosenberg in the following round of Europa League fixtures before welcoming group leaders, RB Salzburg, to Glasgow for the final match.
The Hoops need at least four points from their next two games with Thursday’s RB Leipzig encounter a must-win.
