Adam Lallana believes there will be a reaction from this Liverpool team after dismal defeat in Serbia.

Adam Lallana was handed a huge chance to impress on Tuesday night by Jurgen Klopp.
Instead though, Liverpool slumped to a very disappointing 2-0 defeat to Red Star Belgrade. The Reds reached the final of the competition last season, and the England international wants to see a reaction after their shocking loss.
Speaking to LFC’s official website, Lallana said: “As players, we’ve got to take responsibility. It was a slow start all round really, and we gave them far too many opportunities – especially from set-pieces.
“We had chances and we came out at the start of the second half which was better, but we weren’t ruthless enough and we weren’t patient enough.
“We’ve got to take full responsibility and make sure that doesn’t happen again. It’s still in our hands and if we win our next two games we go through, but it was a great opportunity missed for us.
“Of course there will be a reaction. It’s not the first time we’ve lost games and it’s about how you react and how you bounce back but we are thoroughly disappointed to come away with nothing.”
With Napoli and PSG playing out a 1-1 draw in Italy, Liverpool remain top of the group.
Klopp’s team now know that no matter how they get on away to PSG in their next fixture, they will still progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League if they beat Napoli by two goals or more at Anfield in their final group game.
Of course, actually managing to achieve that is another challenge altogether. The surprise defeat in Belgrade has left Liverpool with more problems than they need at this stage of the season as they try to keep pace with Manchester City on the domestic front, too.

Up next for Liverpool is a home fixture with Fulham and the newly-promoted London side might just be wary of being on the receiving end of a furious backlash from Klopp’s men on Sunday.
Liverpool have come through some tough fixtures in the early months of the season, but their positive results so far could be rendered pointless if The Reds start slipping up in the ‘smaller’ fixtures from here on in.
