‘Says so much about this man’: Some Spurs fans react to Hojbjerg’s actions after FT

Tottenham fans praised Pierre Emile Hojbjerg after he was seen crying after Denmark progressed to the semi-finals of Euro 2020 on Saturday.

Martialed by Tottenham’s aggressor in the middle of the park, Denmark beat the Czech Republic 2-1 to set up their last-four meeting with England.

Once again, Hojbjerg, like he was last season for Spurs, was immense in the middle of the park.

Given what the Danish have gone through during this tournament and where they are now, it’s understandably been tough for all associated with the country. 

And when Hojbjerg was seen crying after the full-time whistle yesterday, Spurs fans made it clear that they love the fact that they have a player of his character and passion on their books.

Those associated with Tottenham may well be supporting Hojbjerg now, but that may all change next Wednesday, especially those English-supporting Spurs supporters.

Hojbjerg will be tasked to keep England’s roaring ship at bay, including the returning form of striker, Harry Kane.

Tottenham’s defensive rock would have seen all season long what the 2020/21 Premier League Golden Boot winner is like, both on the training field and out on the pitch.

And if the Dane’s are to cause an upset at Wembley then Hojbjerg needs to make sure his pockets are wide open to fit Kane inside them.
