According to The Independent, Jose Mourinho isn’t in danger at Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs are ninth in the Premier League table and nine points behind in the race for Champions League qualification via a top-four finish.
But Miguel Delaney of The Independent has reported that Levy is still firmly behind the Portuguese coach.
The report adds that the Lilywhites chairman is actually under ‘Mourinho’s spell’ and has fully backed him to transform the North London club’s fortunes, even if others close to the boardroom feel that the 58-year-old is already finished.
Here’s how some Tottenham fans reacted to the report on Twitter:
Mourinho is under quite a lot of pressure.
Yes, Spurs are in a League Cup final and the last 16 of the Europa League, but failing to win either competition, coupled with finishing outside the top four, and the legendary two-time Champions League winner will more than likely lose his job.
That more than anything would break the apparent spell.
