Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his take on Sky Sports on the performance of goalkeeper Alisson against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Alisson was in goal for Liverpool in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Brazil international goalkeeper was at fault for Spurs’ second goal.
Alisson made a bad judgement call, and it cost Liverpool a goal.
And a win.
While Klopp did publicly say that it was a mistake from Alisson, he also pointed out the saves that the Liverpool goalkeeper made in the game.
The former AS Roma goalkeeper denied Dele Alli and Son Heung-min in the first half and also kept out Harry Kane in the second period.

Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson
Klopp told Sky Sports: “It’s a good pass, and Ali saved our life in similar situations a couple of times.
“We changed complete midfield. These passes should not be that simple, but it happened, and you need a goalie, an offensive-minded goalie, and he was there.
“In that moment he missed the ball, and that’s why they could score the second goal.”

Alisson is top-quality
Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but the Liverpool star does make mistakes.
Remember the game against Manchester City last season?
So, it should not really come as a surprise to us to see Alisson’s mistake against Tottenham.
However, we must admit that all footballers make mistakes.
A striker can miss a chance, a midfielder could give the ball away easily, and a defender could slip up.
And goalkeepers also make mistakes.
Unfortunately, mistakes from goalkeepers are highlighted more, probably because more often than not they tend to end in goals conceded.
In the wide scheme of things, we must not forget that Alisson is a brilliant goalkeeper who has been key in Liverpool winning the Premier League and the Champions League in recent seasons.
