Aston Villa fans are loving that Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe has found his ‘smile’ again since joining them.
The Birmingham Mail has suggested that Tuanzebe, who is on a season-long loan at Villa Park from Manchester United, is ‘loving football again’.
This is the third time in Tuanzebe’s career that he has moved to the Midlands on-loan – twice in the Championship and now in the Premier League.
And Villa supporters have urged the hard-hitting centre-back to sign on a permanent basis given the suggestions about him and his recent comments on Instagram.
Tuanzebe posted on his IG story that the ‘love’ and ‘trust’ being shown by the club is ‘heartfelt’.
Last Saturday, the 23-year-old wasn’t eligible to play for Villa as they beat his parent club 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Ironically enough, it was the man who replaced him – Kortney Hause – who scored the winning goal from a corner.
And this afternoon, Dean Smith has a big call to make. Does he stick with Hause in a back three against Tottenham? Or does Tuanzebe come back into the fold?
Well, if he wants to keep that ‘smile’ on his face then Tuanzebe will no doubt want to return to the XI.
In truth, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he does because, going off Smith’s previous calls, he will, more than likely, bring Tuanzebe back because he sees him as his first-choice back three, along with Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to what they are hearing about Tuanzebe:
